us to instruct our Shanghai Office to make an advance to

the above to the extent of £3,000 against 13 shares of this

Corporation, the property of Mrs. Kupsch's late husband, we

regret that we are unable to authorise our Shanghai Office

to do this, unless we have a guarantee from the Hongkong Government fully covering us from any loss that might be

incurred by us in making such an advance.
